Work Your Light Oracle Cards is an oracle deck written by Rebecca Campbell, illustrated by Danielle Noel, and published by Hay House.
If you saw my recent review of the Starchild Tarot Akashic, you might see a lot of similarities between that Tarot deck and this oracle deck. This is because the Starchild Tarot Akashic deck was also created by Danielle Noel.
The Work Your Light Oracle cards use colors and imagery in a similar way.
I absolutely love this oracle deck, and it is probably one of my favorites. It is a beautiful deck of cards with stunning colors and positive energy.
Let’s dive deeper into this amazing deck and find out why it might be perfect for your oracle card collection!
What Is An Oracle Deck?
An oracle deck differs from a Tarot deck, but they are related. They both aim to help guide up spiritually and develop our intuition. I work with both Tarot decks and oracle decks as I think both are really important towards my spiritual growth.
Most Tarot decks follow a certain structure, however, oracle decks are all very different. They can be about anything and everything! There are so many wonderful things that oracle decks can do for us, and the Work Your Light Oracle cards are no different.
What Are the Work Your Light Oracle cards?
The Work Your Light Oracle cards are a deck of 44 cards with pastel colors and gentle, spiritual messages. It is a very feminine and tender deck and a joy to work with.
The cards themselves are split up into five different categories; confirmation cards that give you instant guidance, inquiry cards that help you connect with your intuition, action cards for guidance in what to do in certain situations, activation cards that promote self-healing, and transmission cards that allow you to connect to energies in the universe.
Work Your Light Oracle Cards Review
Now, onto the review!
The box is made of thick cardboard and sturdy which is really useful as a lot of us do choose to store our cards in the original box.
The artwork on the box is also extremely beautiful and detailed. It shows us that a lot of thought has gone into the creation of this oracle deck.
I just love all the pastel colors used, it really makes you feel positive by just looking at the box!
When you open the box you are greeted with a message: ‘you are the oracle’. I really like this touch as it reminds us of why we are and using the deck.
The Guidebook
The guidebook can fit in your hand and has a full-color cover with black and white pages. It is a pretty detailed guidebook that is really useful if you are new to oracle cards.
It discussed how you may wish to use this deck by yourself or with others, and details each card and its meaning.
The cards are separated into suits in the guidebook so you know what theme the card has. This means that the cards are easy enough to find and read up on.
The Cards
The cards have a matte finish and their design is simply beautiful. Each card is represented by a pastel-colored digital collage that usually contains a female figure with whimsical landscapes on them. Cards are borderless and unnumbered but have names and short messages on them.
I know that the cards being numberless might put people off. But because they are separated into suits they are actually pretty easy to find in the guidebook.
Plus, you don’t need to always consult the guidebook when using this oracle deck as there is a description of their meaning on each card.
I really love the energy of each card and the colors that are used. The messages are a big help and are pretty clear most of the time.
This means that the deck is perfect for beginners and for those of us who need fresh insight into our lives and spirituality.
The cards are quite big for small hands but thick and sturdy. If you are not a fan of bigger cards, this is something to keep in mind when thinking about buying this deck.
The backs of the cards have an abstract geometric and rose-flower pattern with green-blue and pink colors. It is fitting to the theme and is a nice, simple back that complements the artwork and messages of the cards.
The deck is non-gilded and the cards can sometimes get stuck together. You might need to separate them manually when you first get the deck. After that, shuffling should be no problem.
The Awakening card is probably one of my favorite cards in the deck. I love the imagery and the starry background. It really reminds us that we must keep on our spiritual path and follow enlightenment. As this is the general theme of the deck, I think this card really shows us what the Work Your Light Oracle cards are all about!
Conclusion
I’d recommend The Work Your Light Oracle cards to all oracle cards collectors. It is a beautiful and relaxing deck that allows us to be guided forward in life.
It is a very feminine deck, so I know that this might put off a lot of people. However, I think that all genders will get something out of these cards.
The Work Your Light Oracle cards are empowering and inspiring. The pastel colors and positive messages of guidance and development mean that they are a great oracle deck for everyone, wherever you are in life and in your spiritual journey.
I also think that it’s the perfect first deck to gift someone who never held oracle cards before but has a desire to learn about them. It is a deck that you can read pretty intuitively, with great messages.
