Pros & cons
Pros
- The best-designed app in the category: fast, distinctive, effortless to use
- Free birth chart with houses and aspects, computed from NASA JPL ephemeris data
- Friend charts and compatibility are the strongest social feature any astrology app has shipped
Cons
- The daily push notifications are terse to the point of being unreadable, and how they are generated is never explained
- Almost no depth: it will not teach you anything about your chart
- Privacy is the weak point: the product is built on sharing birth data with a friend graph, and the app collects well beyond what drawing a chart needs
- Push copy has a reputation for landing harshly on a bad day
- The paywall has hardened: 2026 reviews report features that used to be free now sitting behind Pro-Star at $8.99 a month or one-off unlocks up to $11.99
