Astrology outlet ties Mars square to tension around the November 3 midterms

Astrology News Service, previewing the US midterm elections set for November 3, 2026, reports that Mars at 19 degrees Leo is square, or at a 90 degree angle, to the Sun and Mercury, a configuration the outlet links to rising tempers and a greater chance of political violence around the vote.

The midterms will decide all 435 seats in the US House of Representatives and 33 or 34 of the 100 Senate seats, according to Wikipedia. Astrology News Service writes that control of the House has been widely assumed all year to shift to Democrats, while recent polling suggests the Senate, long considered safe for Republicans, may be slipping from GOP hands.

Mars square flagged as a flashpoint#

Astrology News Service calls the period around Election Day tense in the extreme, describing it as a tinderbox waiting to explode, and says the active Mars placement turns political violence from a hypothetical into something more probable on the day itself.

The outlet also claims President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to send the National Guard, ICE officers and even the US military, all of which Astrology News Service labels Mars-ruled forces, to polling places. The outlet states the declared aim would be safeguarding the vote, but argues the real effect would be suppressing minority participation and lowering their electoral engagement.

The economic and political backdrop#

Astrology News Service ties the mood of this election to economic strain, pointing to rising inflation and higher costs for gas, groceries, housing and health insurance under Trump's second term, and to tax cuts the outlet says benefited billionaires while cutting services for low-income families and contributing to the closure of rural medical facilities.

The outlet frames the likely swing toward Democrats as consistent with a historical pattern in which midterm elections often favor the party that does not hold the presidency, alongside what it calls an angry, retributive mood among voters.

A House race where astrology plays no part#

Not every midterm contest is being read through the stars. In Georgia's 7th District, Democrat Tony Kozycki, a combat veteran and immigration lawyer challenging Republican Rich McCormick, told the Hindustan Times his message to voters is to judge candidates as people rather than by party. "Look who they are. Look what they're telling you and actually vote on people and not party right now," Kozycki said.

Separately, Times Now's horoscope column for October 22, 2026 advised caution with money, saying clear documentation can help prevent misunderstandings when lending, and told readers that property contracts will need careful reviewing.
