Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio, overlapping with retrograde Venus until November 13

Mercury began moving retrograde in Scorpio on October 24, an apparent backward motion that astrologer Debbie Frank of the Academy of Alchemy says is tied in astrology to communication, technology, transportation and daily schedules, according to AOL.co.uk and Gazeta Express.

The retrograde arrives while Venus is also reversed in Scorpio, a pairing the Times of India says tangles love and memory, with old messages and past partners liable to resurface before the cycle ends around mid-November.

What double retrograde in Scorpio stirs up#

The Times of India reports that Mercury governs talk, texts and plans, so its retrograde brings misread messages and dropped calls, with unresolved feelings in Scorpio apt to resurface; the outlet advises checking details more than once before agreeing to anything significant and rereading a late message before answering it.

Debbie Frank told AOL.co.uk and Gazeta Express that financial exchanges are especially prone to crossed wires during the retrograde, with prices and expectations shifting unexpectedly, and she advised against major purchases between October 24 and November 13.

Frank also said the period favors reopening important conversations or reconnecting with people, since spelling out thoughts and feelings can reveal a relationship in a new light, and Gazeta Express adds her suggestion that clearing unnecessary items from the home can bring a greater sense of calm.

How the signs are affected this week#

Astrologer Kseniia Bazylenko told Ukrainian outlet UNN that the Full Moon in Taurus on October 26 may heighten emotional tension around relationships, financial stability and life values, compounded by Mercury retrograde in Scorpio encouraging a return to unfinished business and old agreements, with Venus returning to Libra on October 25.

Bazylenko said Virgos in particular face a week full of communication, travel and paperwork, with retrograde Mercury apt to bring back old documents, unfinished negotiations or educational projects that demand careful attention when signing or corresponding.

The Times of India's astrology column named Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio and Taurus as signs needing particular care, noting that for Scorpio, both Mercury and Venus retrograde in that sign at once may bring someone from the past seeking answers.
