There are 56 Minor Arcana cards in a traditional Tarot deck. These are split into four different suits; Wands, Cups, Pentacles, and Swords. Whilst the Major Arcana cards often reflect big, long-term changes and situations, the Minor Arcana will reflect the day-to-day. They allow us to understand what is happening in our daily lives and what we need to do in order to achieve our short-term goals.
The Suit of Cups governs our emotions and the relationships that we have with the people around us. It is linked to the element of water. The Suit of Pentacles is linked to the element of earth and reflects property, work, and money. The Suit of Swords governs intellect, actions, thought, and decision-making. It is linked to the element of air. Finally, the Suit of Wands reflects passion and energy and is governed by the element of Fire.
