Scorpio adds themes of trust#

Bustle reports that the lunar cycle begins with a new moon, when the moon's face is hidden from view. Astrologers associate the phase with fresh starts and setting intentions. The Economic Times places this new moon at approximately 16 degrees and 53 minutes of Scorpio.

Scorpio is a fixed water sign, a category in astrology, associated with emotional depth, trust, intimacy and transformation, according to The Economic Times. The outlet also connects the sign with shared resources and personal power, themes it says astrologers consider alongside the new moon.

Hindustan Times reports that astrologer Judit Tsafrir described the lunar event on Instagram as a time to consider feelings and situations that have been avoided. The Economic Times similarly frames the Scorpio new moon around examining emotional attachments and patterns, rather than concentrating solely on outward achievements.

Prehnite enters the lunar discussion#

In a separate Instagram interpretation, astrologer Judy Tsafir associated prehnite, a pale green gemstone, with manifestation and two chakras, Hindustan Times reports. Chakras are concepts in spiritual traditions. The outlet identifies the heart chakra with compassion and connection, and the solar plexus chakra with confidence and personal power.

Hindustan Times notes that scientific research has not established the effects attributed to crystal energies on manifestation. The outlet presents the associations as part of a spiritual practice, separate from the astronomical timing of the lunar phase.

Mercury and Venus remain retrograde#

The new moon occurs during Mercury and Venus retrogrades, Hindustan Times reports. The outlet says astrologers may associate these periods with reconsidering conversations, relationships and priorities.

Tsafrir also noted that Mars and Jupiter were moving toward a conjunction in Leo, Hindustan Times reports. She linked the approaching conjunction to confidence, creativity and a desire to act, contrasting those themes with Scorpio's association with introspection.
