I’m not usually a betting gal but I’d lay down a good couple of hundred and bet you’ve heard of the Law of Attraction but have you heard of the Law of Vibration?
There are actually twelve different Universal Laws and the Law of Vibration is the second and possibly one of the most important, as it permeates every other law.
The popularity of the Law of Attraction has thrown these universal laws into more people’s paths than ever before but many still don’t know about the others and how you can use their principles to elevate your life, situation, and emotional being.
So what are the twelve different universal laws?

So what is the law of vibration and how can you use it to alter your trajectory and welcome in life to desire and need? The law of vibration is all about, well, vibration.
It’s right there in the name. However, we don’t mean the type of vibration you have alongside your cell ringer but rather the frequency that every entity that exists in our universe vibrates at.
Much like all of the other universal laws, the principles of the Law of Vibration have been practiced and observed by different cultures over the centuries.
So are you ready to find how this ancient universal law could benefit you, and how you can weave it into your days with ease? I knew you’d say yes, so let’s get on with it!
What Is the Law of Vibration?
The second universal law, the law of vibration, states that every being that is within our universe, every atom, every object, and every living thing vibrates at its own frequency and is constantly in motion.
It’s undeniable that everything on our earth, and thus the universe, has its own energy. Many of us did the ‘potato clock’ science experiment at school and this itself proves that something as static as a potato contains enough energy to keep a clock ticking or light up a bulb.
Science itself agrees with the very basis of the law of vibration. Everything is energy and nothing is at rest. The very atoms that make us, and everything around us, what they are, are in a constant state of flux.
Pulsing and knocking against each other. The only difference between us and our computer desk is that our vibrational frequency is far higher than that of a hunk of wood.
Even our thoughts, according to the law of vibration, have their very own vibrational frequency. It’s our thoughts and feelings that affect our bodily frequency which, in turn, dictates how you may experience your life and the things we attract to us. If what we desire doesn’t have the same frequency as us we will never be able to align with it.
I know this can all sound a little hippy-dippy and far-fetched. The best example I can think of to truly explain how these vibrations work is that of a tuning fork.
Say you have two tuning forks. Both are exactly the same. However, you only hit one. The tuning fork begins to hum with its vibrational energy, sending sound waves around the room. In turn, the second tuning fork will begin to vibrate and produce the same sound waves.
This is how something as seemingly small as your thoughts can affect everything around you.
Are you having a bad day? That erratic, negative energy will begin to affect everything you come into contact with. You may make more mistakes, darken someone else’s mood, and even invite bigger, more volatile situations into your space.
The Law of Vibration vs the Law of Attraction
Both the law of vibration and the law of attraction are universal laws that are very deeply entwined. The law of attraction states that what we put out into the world, using our thoughts and emotions, will ultimately come back to us.
However, without a deeper understanding of the law of vibration, which is a primary law, the like-for-like principles of the law of attraction fall flat.
So, no they’re not directly the same but you do need both of them, especially if you are actively trying to manifest.
Without an understanding of how our vibrational energies react, how we control our vibrational energy (intentionally or unintentionally), and how we can raise our vibrational frequency we will always find the law of attraction to be a bunch of mumbo jumbo that leads nowhere but disappointment.
The biggest difference between the two is that the law of vibration is a primary law, whereas the law of attraction is a secondary one.
This means for us, on a personal level, that we can utilize the power and positive effects of a primary law without the interaction of the secondary law. Yet a secondary law needs the understanding of the primary to work for us.
Is the Law of Vibration Real?
Yes, both from recorded experiences and scientific evidence the core of the law of vibration is real. Quantum physics, which is a well-respected field of medical research and discovery, states that every particle that exists in our universe is made of energy and in a varied constant state of flux.
I’m sure you learned in school about how atoms bounce around, never staying still. This is the law of vibration at work.
Now the belief that our vibrational level may not be believed by all. The idea that our very energy affects the way we experience our lives can be a little too much for some people to grasp.
Not out of stupid mind, but many other things can alter the way we allow ourselves to view the world. Religion can be a big factor. Especially if it means letting go of the idea that there is already a big plan in place thanks to an overseeing God.
The law of vibration breaks those views with the idea that we, as an organic entity in our universe, have control over the good and the bad. That our lives path is entirely decided upon thanks to not only our voluntary decisions, but also the way we think, feel, and behave.
The bottom line when it comes to whether the law of vibration is real is whether you are ready to take the reigns and accept that things don’t happen to you but rather they happen because of you.
How Do I Use the Law of Vibration?
Deciding to utilize the power of the Law of vibration can feel like one of the most overwhelming decisions you have ever made. This big step can see the course of your life change very dramatically, but it’s not without sacrifice.
You will have to learn how to shed whatever it is that is holding you back and sometimes, just working out what that is can be incredibly painful. However, this is also an incredibly exciting journey you are about to embark on and one you won’t look back from.
So how do you use the law of vibration? What can this seemingly magical belief do for you and your situation? Well, I don’t want to get all the big world on you but your imagination is the only limitation to what you can accomplish.
But here are a few of the most common things you can use the law of vibration for in your life.
Manifesting
Manifesting is getting a lot of attention in modern media right now. Anyone who has scrolled through TikTok will have stumbled across at least one video about how the creator manifested their dreamlike and how you can do it too.
And if you are already familiar with the law of attraction you may have given it a whizz yourself. However, as you now know without the law of vibration, the law of attraction is just a big empty promise.
Once you understand that you need to raise your vibrational energy to match the things you desire manifesting can feel like it’s hopped onto a freight train and is hurtling towards the bright possibility of your dream.
Your thoughts are your most powerful vibrational tool when manifesting and they are something you need to be very careful with.
Take love for example. If you are longing for your soul mate and keep thinking ‘I need someone to love’ what seems like a fairly direct thought is actually a thought that is putting your lack of love, your desperation for love out into the universe.
I know, it seems counterintuitive, but stay with me here. Even your thoughts of desire need to be free of desperation, fear, and lack. These negative emotions hold a lower frequency than what you desire and you need to raise them.
Managing Emotions
Firstly, I have to tell you there is no such thing as a ‘bad feeling’. Yes, there are negative frequency emotions but never feel like you are failing if you have non-positive emotions. These are all part of the human experience and I would honestly be slightly concerned if you never felt them.
However, using the law of vibration can help you recognize these emotions and work through them faster. By not allowing them to linger and fester you acknowledge your current state of being and then slip back into your higher vibrational frequency.
Toxic positivity is a real thing, especially with such an emphasis on feeling happy and cheerful all the time thanks to the booming law of attraction community. We are not here for that. You will never feel 100% for the entirety of your human life on this earth.
The law of vibration can be a tool to help you flow through these moments, without getting yourself stuck in perpetual cycles of negativity and low frequency. Which, over an extended time, can be damaging.
Navigating Relationships and Situations
The more in tune you become with your own vibrational frequency the easier it will be for you to recognize someone else’s. This can become very useful in helping you to decide whether certain situations of relationships are really for you.
There’s nothing more freeing than walking into a room, feeling a low frequency, and noping your way out of there. The same goes for meeting someone with higher vibrational energy. You will feel this at your very core, you may vibe with them really well, and everything just flows easy.
The law of vibration is so much more than just manifesting a dream. It can be about self-protection and truly finding your people on a much deeper level.
Improving Your Physical and Mental Health
If we are to believe that every cell and atom is constantly moving, the same must go for our bodies. So if the very energy cells within your body are vibrating at a low frequency you will begin to feel it in every thought and action you experience.
The act of increasing your personal vibrational energy will not only make you feel better mentally and emotionally but will have a serious knock-on effect on your physical health.
I mean nobody wants to go for a jog after spending 3 days hiding from the world under the duvet. However, if you’ve spent all morning moving, singing, and being kind to yourself. The idea of getting out seems much easier.
9 Techniques To Raise Your Vibration
Now it’s time to get down to the important part. I’ve told you everything you need to know about how the law of vibration works and what you can use it for. Now you probably want to know how to can raise your vibrational frequency so you can start living the life you truly want to.
Some of these techniques may actually already be something you currently do in your, but if not I’m here to let you know none of them are crazy. There’s no ‘eat an apple of the garden of Eden’s type of impossible technique. They are all simple things you can weave easily into your days to start aligning your vibrational energy with the way you have always imagined living, thinking, and feeling.
Practicing Self-Care
There’s no denying that self-care makes you feel good. Taking a bath, make it an event. Not just a five-minute scrub in the tub. Get out those candles, and use that posh bubble bath you’ve always wanted to use.
But self-care doesn’t have to be a fancy thing either. Make sure you are at the very least covering the basics of self-care. Brush your teeth, drink water, comb your hair, and try to get a bit of sunshine on your skin every day.
The feeling you will get when you know you are physically caring for yourself in the way you should raise your frequency to no end.
Nourishing Your Body
Nourishing your body with whole foods like green vegetables, fruits, and fresh foods will make your body feel good. Improving your energy and how your body feels. I don’t like to tell people what foods to avoid but I can tell you what foods to limit a little.
Stale foods, heavy meals, artificially flavored foods, and food that isn’t really food (if you know what I mean) are the types of nourishment we should keep to a minimum. They don’t make our bodies feel good in the long run and over-consumption of these ‘low-vibe’ foods can lower our vibration.
Meditation
Meditation can be a fantastic way for us to practice and improve our patience, improve our ability to regulate our emotions, and help us to process the things currently happening in our lives more healthily.
It’s no secret that our thoughts and feelings have a profound effect on our vibration. So taking the time to meditate can alleviate stress and help us work through things, let go of them, and increase our frequency.
Remove Low Vibration Situations From Your Life
This can be one of the hardest techniques to implement. Over time you will become more sensitive to how certain situations and people make you feel. The external world has as much of an effect on our vibrational frequency as our internal world.
Once you begin to recognize the outside influences that are affecting you negatively you can begin to remove them, or at the very least limit your contact with them. Not all people and situations are easy to remove from our lives altogether. However, even limiting the contact you have can increase your frequency.
Spend Time In Nature
Getting out into the fresh air and spending time in true nature is one of the easiest ways to improve your vibrational frequency. For those of us who live in the country, this can be as easy as stepping out into your backyard, slipping off your shoes, and letting the sun (or even the rain) cover your skin.
For those of us who live in more built-up areas, know you don’t have to hike a mountain. The local park works just as well. As long as you feel surrounded by nature, you can hear the birds, and feel the breeze rushing over your body you will be raising your vibrations.
Practice Gratitude
Being thankful for what you already have and experience is one of the easiest ways to raise your vibrations. You can do this alongside mediation, use morning thankful affirmations, or have a gratitude journal specifically for jotting down what you’re thankful for every single day.
Recognizing the good you already have will permeate its way into your thoughts and feelings. This will affect the way you behave and, especially if you are manifesting, begin to help you create the life you love.
Practice Mindfulness
Our minds have a real habit of wandering. Have you ever eaten dinner and then all of a sudden you hit the bottom of the bowl and can barely remember eating your meal? Yup, well this is the exact opposite of mindfulness.
Becoming more mindful in your day-to-day life can help you stay present in every moment. Increasing your appreciation for your life and feeling less like you are on auto-pilot all the time. Some mindful habits you can start that can help raise your vibration are:
- Mindful Eating

- Mindful Parenting
- Meditation
- Yoga
Create a Vision Board
Creating a vision board not only increases your creativity but also gives you a physical representation of whatever it is you want to raise your vibrations around. For manifesting, create a vision board that represents the very things you desire. For gratitude, create a vision board that shows you all the things you have already and the people you love.
It doesn’t have to be fancy, but if you want to go all out don’t let me stop you. A simple piece of card with images printed from your computer, cut out from a magazine, or photos you have taken yourself will do the trick nicely.
Praise Lavishly
The words you use for yourself and others have a great impact on your vibration level. If you are constantly getting down on yourself or gossiping about others your vibrations will negatively mirror this. Switch this up and tell yourself what you love about yourself, tell others what you love about them. If a stranger has a gorgeous outfit, tell them.
Resentful and nasty thoughts will not only drag others down but also you with them. The old ‘if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all’ phrase is perfect for this.
Living With the Law of Vibration
The law of vibration opens our eyes and hearts to our universe on a much deeper level than just the world we can see. It tells us that we are more than just a singular being working our way through our human lives and that our very being is constantly moving, interacting, and affecting all things around us.
Understanding the law of vibration is the first step to aligning who you are, what you think, and how you behave with the very life you desire to have.
At its very core, it’s all about teaching us how to live a more positive, happy existence. How to use our vibrations, at an atomic level, to align with our wishes and desires.
