How to Interpret Tarot Pages
In my guide to court cards, I mentioned that it was useful to see the court cards as a family. The Page is the youngest of the family, filled with childlike energy.
Tarot Pages represent youthfulness and potential. They see the magic in the world around them and have a passion for discovery. Tarot Pages are filled with hope and excitement, and usually appear to represent a beginning of a journey.
Pages are also messengers and may appear in a reading when news will be coming your way. There may be opportunities on the horizon for you with a Page.
Like the other court cards, there are different ways we can interpret Tarot Pages. They may represent someone in your life, an influence, or yourself. When wanting to figure out what a Page means for you in a reading, you must listen to your intuition and consider the context.
So, how can we understand Tarot Pages?
Pages as a Person
When the Tarot Pages represent a person, they are often childlike and naive. Remember, the Pages don’t have to represent someone who is a child. A Page can represent someone of any age.
They are young at heart and excited about the world around them. However, someone who is represented by a Page may be a bit immature. They may be feeling uncertain about their path, and therefore lack the drive to move forward.
When a Page appears in a reading to symbolize someone in your life, the universe is telling you that this person will be important to you in the near future.
Pages as You
When a Page crops up in a Tarot reading, it may reflect you. Let’s say you are performing a career spread and want to figure out if you should change your job. A Page appearing in the reading may reflect you and the beginning of your journey.
When a Page reflects you in a reading, it is important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of a Page. They are excited and ready to explore the world, but have they got all the skills necessary for their journey?
In the career reading, receiving a Page reflects your excitement. Yet, you need to work out if you are mature enough to change jobs. Do you have that drive to get things done?
Pages as an Influence
Sometimes, Tarot Pages will not represent you or someone in your life. They will represent an influence or situation.
So, how can we understand Pages in this way? Well, a Page usually signifies a lot of ideas and the beginning of a journey. There is a whole load of potential energy with a Page, and this is reflected in the reading.
Pages are usually pretty exciting cards to receive! They can also suggest that opportunities are coming your way.
The Page Becomes the Knight
When Tarot Pages crop up in a reading, I always like to consider the next step. The Page is the beginning of a journey, but the Page must become the Knight in order to progress.
If a Page represents you in a reading, what can you do to manifest and create from its energy? How can you, a Page, become a Knight?
