Ace of Cups Tarot Card Description

ace of cups tarot card

The Ace of Cups tarot card depicts a hand coming out from the clouds holding a cup as if it is offering a drink.

The cup illustrated on this ace is different from the other suits as it is overflowing with sparkling water, symbolizing happiness and joy filling in your life.

The white dove on top of the cup represents peace and fulfillment. The flow of water heads towards a pool of water with lotus flowers. This suggests an intervention from the Divine and being more connected with your spiritual senses.

The background shows sunny skies, free of any clouds or trouble. If you have pulled the Ace of Cups, take a moment to look at the imagery on the face of the card.

Doing so will link you with the period of connection and emotional strength that is making its way into your existence.

If you are willing to take it all in, you will be all the better for it in the long run.

On the positive side, the Ace of Cups reversed can be a sign that it’s time for some self-love. You cannot pour from an empty cup and you have to be full in order to give and send out your love to anyone.

Take all the time you need and go out of your shell once you feel replenished and full of love again.

Tonight I did a reading with hopes of enlightenment around moving/relocating. My partner wants to move nearer to his family and settle down for our life together. I too want this – but it would mean a long commute to my job (which I love and makes me very happy too). I pulled some fantastic cards – but can’t quite work out where the ace of cups fits in… I did a 5 card spread. Cards I pulled are in capital letters next to the placing. Would love to hear others interpretations as well as my own…

Card 1: Subconscious or Conscious Reason for the Move/Relocation – TEN OF CUPS

Card 2: Benefits or Positive Influences Related to Moving/Relocating – KING OF WANDS

Card 3: What You Must Release Before Going/What You No Longer Need – ACE OF CUPS

Card 4: Outcome or Direction of the Move – FOUR OF SWORDS

Card 5: Final Result After Moving Relocation – THE STAR
